Jean Nouvel joined forces with JADO to design the unique signature collection that carries his name. It is the first time the world renowned architect has explored new design frontiers in the bathroom solutions environment.
Jean Nouvel has been running his own architectural practice since 1970. He has won numerous prizes for his work, amongst others, the Gold Medal of the French Academy of Architecture, the Royal Gold Medal of the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Aga Khan Prize for the Arab World Institute and honorary fellowships in the AIA, France’s National Grand Prize for Architecture. In 2001, he received Italy’s Borromini Prize for the Lucerne Culture and Congress Centre and Japan’s Premium Imperial Career Prize. In 2005 he was awarded the Wolf Prize and the following year he received, the Arnold W. Brunner Memorial Prize for architecture.
Among Mr. Nouvel’s principal completed buildings are the Arab World Institute in Paris, the Lyon Opera House, the Fondation Cartier in Paris, the Galeries Lafayette department store in Berlin, the Lucerne Culture and Congress Centre, the Tours Conference Center, The Hotel in Lucerne, the Andel office building in Prague, the Nantes Justice Center, the Dentsu Tower in Tokyo, the museum of archaeology in Périgueux, the technology centre in Wismar, the Agbar office tower in Barcelona, the extension to the Queen Sophia museum in Madrid, and, most recently the Quai Branly Museum in Paris, and the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis.
Among the projects currently under study or construction at the Ateliers Jean Nouvel are the Richemont Corporation headquarters in Geneva, an apartment building in Soho, New York, the Symphonic House in Copenhagen, an office building in the City of London, a mixed usage building in Vienna, an apartment building in Chelsea, New York, the Theater ”Archipel” in Perpignan…
